33 kV is common in African, Middle Eastern and South Asian distribution systems, and it is also the collector voltage inside many wind and solar plants. Units at this level are rarely a catalogue item — the impedance, tapping range and secondary voltage get set by the local grid code.
That is why we do not publish a 33 kV price list the way we do for 11 kV. Send the specification and we quote against it, including the loss figures and the test evidence your tender asks for.
| Parameter | Range |
|---|---|
| Rated capacity | 30 – 2500 kVA |
| Primary voltage | 33 kV (also 22 kV and 35 kV on the same platform) |
| Secondary voltage | 0.415 kV, 0.433 kV, or 11 kV for two-winding step-down |
| Design standard | IEC 60076, or the local grid code on request |
| Winding | Full copper |
| Vector group | Dyn11, Yyn0 and others on request |
| Frequency | 50 Hz or 60 Hz |
| Cooling | ONAN; ONAF on request |
| Customisation | Impedance, tapping range, temperature rise limit, altitude and ambient design |
Starting points, not a closed list. If your grid code says something different, we build to it.
| Configuration | Typical capacity | Where it is used |
|---|---|---|
| 33 / 0.415 kV | 100 – 1000 kVA | Distribution substation feeding a low voltage network |
| 33 / 0.433 kV | 100 – 1000 kVA | Networks standardised at 433 V |
| 33 / 11 kV | 1000 – 2500 kVA | Step-down between two medium voltage levels |
| 33 kV wind farm collector | 1250 – 2500 kVA | Collector substation inside a wind plant |
Two units at the same rating can differ by 20% once the impedance, tapping range, loss level and secondary voltage change. Publishing one number would be misleading, so at this level we quote against your document.
What we can tell you before you ask: the 11 kV range has published ex-works prices from USD 1,821 for 50 kVA, and a 33 kV unit of the same rating sits in a similar band, moving with the specification.
| Term | Detail |
|---|---|
| MOQ | 10 units per order, mixed ratings accepted |
| Lead time | Quoted per order; longer than the 11 kV standard range |
| Price basis | Ex-works or FOB, USD |
| Documentation | Drawings, routine records, type test and efficiency reports on request |
| Branding | Your nameplate, manual and packing |
| Payment | T/T 30% deposit, 70% before shipment; L/C at sight for tender orders |
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Can you build to IEC 60076? | Yes, that is our reference standard for this range. Send the clause list and we will confirm which reports we hold and which need a project-specific test. |
| Do you supply 33/11 kV two-winding units? | Yes, typically 1000–2500 kVA. |
| Is 60 Hz available? | Yes, on request. |
| Can the impedance be set to our grid code? | Yes. Impedance, tapping range and temperature rise are design inputs, not fixed catalogue values. |
| What is the lead time? | Quoted per order. The 11 kV standard range runs 30–45 days after deposit; 33 kV units usually take longer. |
